Here at the Sheep Shed Gallery, we believe that the sharing of skills and knowledge is vital to the success of artistic and craft-based trades. We have found that customers really love to buy pieces when they know how the final product has been formed and the processes that the artist goes through to get to the end result.

Because of this, we love to run workshops throughout the year to encourage people of all backgrounds and ages to learn news skills under the tutelage of a professional.

All of our workshops are fun, informal days with small groups to maximise pupil-tutor contact throughout providing a great experience and good value for money.

Whether you are looking to learn a completely new skill or are looking to further an old one, we hope that you will find something of interest in our workshop timetable below!

This workshop will run from 10am to 1pm on Wednesday 24th October 2018 (£35.00)

This course is suitable for those with some experience of using watercolours
or for anyone who has attended the ‘Introduction to painting in watercolour’
workshop earlier in the year. You will consider two alternative approaches to painting autumn flowers and leaves. Firstly you will make a ’traditional’ painting using using conventional watercolour techniques and then using the same subject matter you will create a loose, expressive  semi abstract work. You will be basing your artwork around a selection of seasonal blooms and leaves.

(When you sign up, we will email you a list of any items that Maureen recommends you bring with you to the workshop)
